So I finally got out the camera again! And today we went to an awesome restaurant by Thomas Keller, Ad Hoc, in this super cute town called Yountville. I’m not gonna review or anything, but I thought you guys might like to see the pictures!
(So this is basically pic spam, beware.)
Those are my mismatched socks and my shoes. They’re only a month old but they’re really dirty. I have a thing for photographing shoes, apparently
The bakery! It was pretty cold out and the sun had disappeared but it was awesome to smell the bread as we went in, and it wasn’t a long line, at least not compared to last time.
We accidentally bought 80 dollars worth of baked goods, but it was totally worth it. Top to bottom pictures: background bread stacks; lemon tarts, cheesecake, cupcakes and bread pudding; the “baked” section with muffins, croissants, scones, tartlets, etc.; macaroons, fancified Twinkies, other stuff; packaged multigrain bread; Mom carrying our bag back to Ad Hoc.
Contents of the bag below:
Cream cheese tartlet with raspberry, upper left; passionfruit donut, upper right; cinnamon sugar donut, lower right; fancified Twinkies lower left.
Miniature brownies or bouchons on the left, shortbread on the right.
Ad Hoc, set menu.
I had the BEST root beer.
Arugula salad with feta cheese, golden beets, shinto pear, pecans, and balsamic vinegar.
Fried chicken with rosemary gravy and parmesan waffles. Yum.
The orange dishes are champagne sorbet with tulle, mint, and lime curd; the white ones are vanilla ice cream with chocolate pearls.
